2001 Goody's Dash Series Champion Cam Strader Declared the Winner at Greenville-Pickens Speedway After Wade Day Was Disqualified After Failing Post Race Inspection

Greenville, SC.  (June 29, 2003) — It was an interesting turn of events at the Goody's Dash Series, NASCAR Touring race at Greenville-Pickens Speedway as Wade Day (No. 52 Refrigerator Services, Inc. Toyota) took the checkered the flag but was later disqualified after failing post race inspection with an illegal head and intake value hole. This gave seconded place driver 2001 Goody's Dash Series Champion Cam Strader (No. 6 Heritage Bank/Racing Images Mercury) the victory.

Jake Hobgood (No. 64 Germain Automotive Toyota) took home second place as he and brother Justin (No. 65 Germain Automotive Pontiac) battled each other for second and third spots for most of the race until the two got into each other on Lap 73 causing damage to Justin's front tire as he ended the race in the 11th spot. Rounding out the rest of the top five field from the GOODY'S 100 was Brandon Ward (No. 11 Rayco Safety/TRD) who took home third place, Joey Miller (No. 19 Joe Cox Glass/Discount House Pontiac) had a an impressive fourth place finish, and Randy Humphrey(No. 93 Humphrey Motorsports Pontiac) rounded out the top five. Goody's Dash Series points leader Robert Huffman had a tough night but still came away with a sixth place finish.

Winnsboro, SC native Justin Hobgood (No. 65 Germain Automotive Pontiac) collected his first Goody's Dash Series, NASCAR Touring Bud Pole award of 2003 with a qualifying time of 20.958/85.886. Reece Milton (No. 75 Hand Crafted Homes/Ferguson/Food Country Toyota) earned the POWERade "Power move of the race" and collected $350. Jay Godley (No. MRD Motorsports Pontiac) took home a seventh place finish as he was the Goody's Dash Series Rookie of the race.

The Goody's Dash Series heads to 1.5 mile paved oval of Kentucky Speedway on Friday, July 11, 2003 in Sparta, KY.
